This is the stylish new Renault Trafic van, and it is also, the firm says, the most advanced LCV it now offers.
The long-established Trafic is a popular choice in UK and the new model delivers car-like levels of handling, technology and equipment.
Renault is offering four dCI engines with stop and start technology, and these are also Euro-6D-Full compliant.
They are mated to either a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, or an efficient six-speed manual box.
Most powerful of the Renault Trafic engines
The most powerful of the Renault Trafic engines, is the dCI 170 which produces 170 hp and returns around 42 mpg, with emissions of 182g/km.
The variants available are Business, Business+, Sport and Sport+.
There’s a completely new front end and the exterior has been refreshed.
The tweaks include a sleek bumper, a new horizontal bonnet, and C-shaped daytime lights.
Versions of the Renault Trafic van
There are 44 versions available for the Renault Trafic van, including long and short wheelbase models with either high or low roof heights.
There’s also a long wheelbase Trafic crew van.
Drivers will find that there is a premium offering for the interior, including new gear lever designs and dashboard.
There’s now a full-width trim across the dashboard and storage space has been boosted by 24 litres.
Drivers get a 4.2-inch colour display for the instrument panel in the Sport and Sport+ vans, or a 3.5-inch monochrome display for the Business and Business+ offerings.
Connectivity features for the Trafic van
There’s also an 8.0-inch infotainment display featuring the latest in usability and connectivity features for the Trafic van, except the Business version.
The infotainment system is smartphone compatible and features USB and Bluetooth connectivity and a DAB radio.
Added safety features include active emergency braking system and adaptive cruise control.
The new Trafic also features lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring and traffic sign recognition.
There’s also a 20% increase for the headlight beam range when compared with the previous model.
Fitted an innovative passenger airbag
Renault says is also fitted an innovative passenger airbag that will protect the two passengers sitting in the front passenger seat, along with the driver.
There’s also a parking assist system available to help when manoeuvring, and that comes with a reversing camera.
Standard safety kit also includes cruise control, electronic stability control, grip extend and hill start assist.
The new Renault Trafic van is priced from £25,700, plus VAT.
