This is the all-new Renault Kangoo van with a brand-new interior and fresh exterior design.
It’s available to order now and prices start at £17,650 plus VAT, while the all-electric E-Tech starts at £29,000.
It’s packed with the latest driver assistance technologies including adaptive cruise control and advanced lane keep assist.
There’s also the choice of the pure electric drivetrain in the Kangoo E-Tech which includes the same equipment, innovations and comfort levels to make this a popular choice.
Renault Kangoo comes with three front seats
The new Kangoo comes with three front seats and a central folding backrest that can be turned into a handy work surface.
The cab contains nearly 60 litres of storage and an 8.0-inch infotainment system.
There’s also stop and go to help with fuel economy and wireless smartphone charging.
Renault says that there’s a range of glazing and door options to meet the needs of a wide range of businesses and trades including an extra-wide side door with an additional 200 mm of access to the cargo area.
Enables long items to be stored safely internally
There’s also the new ‘Easy Inside’ rack that enables long items to be stored safely internally rather than having to fit an external roof rack – which also helps fuel economy and battery range.
The new van has a load volume of 4.2 m³ and a payload of up to 615 kg.
There’s also a towing capacity of 1,500 kg with the E-Tech offering a range of 186 miles.
Recharging the battery takes less than seven hours using a 7.4 kW wall box, but with a rapid DC charger, it takes around 43 minutes to recharge to 80% of the battery’s capacity.
Renault says that it is also offering a warranty of 100,000 miles or eight years to cover the battery’s performance.
Choice of two trims
Owners get a choice of two trims, Start and Advance, and standard equipment includes a 3.5-inch driver information display, USB connectivity and DAB radio.
There’s also manual air-conditioning, electric front windows, a height-adjustable driver’s seat and electrically adjustable door mirrors.
Safety features include cruise control that includes a speed limiter, emergency e-Call that will contact the emergency services when necessary and hill start assist.
The Kangoo E-Tech includes a heated front windscreen, automatic air-conditioning, Z.E. Voice and heated seats.
The better spec versions offer an 8.0-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration, reverse parking sensors, an electric parking brake, body-coloured door rails and a premium gearstick that has chrome inserts.
There’s a lot to like about this small van, and the Renault Kangoo and the Kangoo E-Tech will prove to be popular with the first deliveries starting in October.
