Nissan unveils its all-new Interstar: Bigger, bolder and diesel-powered

The Nissan Interstar diesel van is a larger, more capable model which boasts advanced safety features, increased cargo space, and a range of configurations.

For businesses and van fleets looking for a powerful and versatile large van, the all-new Nissan Interstar diesel is available for pre-order.

This latest iteration boasts a bolder design, more room than its predecessor, and a range of features designed to boost driver comfort and safety.

Available in Acenta and Tekna trim levels, the Interstar caters to various business needs.

Commitment to quality is evident

The Tekna trim adds features like automatic air conditioning, a heated windscreen and rear parking sensors for a premium feel.

Nissan’s commitment to quality is evident in the industry-leading five-year or 100,000-mile warranty offered on all LCVs, including the Interstar.

The van joins the award-winning Townstar small van and the recently updated Primastar mid-sized van, offering a comprehensive LCV range.

Maximum capability with its multiple configurations

The Interstar prioritises efficiency and maximum capability with its multiple configurations, including tipper, drop-side and box van options, to suit diverse cargo requirements.

The L2H2, L3H2 and L3H3 variants offer a range of cargo volumes and lengths.

The 2.0-litre diesel engine comes in various power outputs, delivering up to 170PS and a WLTP fuel consumption figure of up to 37.8mpg.

Also, the Interstar has a payload of up to two tonnes and a 2,500kg towing capacity.

Revamped interior offers driver comfort

The revamped interior offers driver comfort with a car-like feel with a steering wheel which is more ergonomic, and a sculpted dashboard.

There’s a centrally positioned 10.1-inch touchscreen for easy access, along with storage compartments and improved manoeuvrability.

Safety remains a top priority, with features like Forward Emergency Braking, Drowsiness Warning and Lane Keep Assist included as standard.

The van’s braking system ensures optimal stopping power regardless of load, while improved reaction times for emergency braking provide extra peace of mind.

The all-new Interstar represents a significant step for Nissan as they revamp an impressive van as it gears up for a fully electrified LCV line-up by 2026.

Pre-orders for the new van are now open, with sales starting in October.
