The impressive Nissan e-NV200 all-electric van is now on sale.
After an extensive testing programme carried out around the world, the van is set to be a game-changer.
Along with offering class leading cargo volume of 4.2 cubic metres with a payload of 770kg, the van will also have zero emissions.
In addition, Nissan says that its new e-NV200 will also see servicing costs being 40% lower than usual and the van will be four times cheaper to fuel than diesel equivalents.
The van has a 106 mile range and a top speed of 76mph while offering a comfortable, vibration-free and noise free environment.
Nissan e-NV200 is a ‘game changer’
It’s being built in Europe and is available as LCV or a five seat car.
The potential owners shouldn’t worry about recharging since the complete charge is done in eight hours and there’s the option of a more powerful charger which sees the charging time dropping to four hours.
There’s also a quick charging kit that will recharge the battery to 80% of its capacity in just 30 minutes.
Jean-Pierre Diernaz, Nissan’s director of electric vehicles, said: “Change is in the air with cities introducing stringent restrictions on emissions. London already has the emission-based, congestion charging zone and is preparing for an ultra-low emissions zone being introduced by 2020.”
Nissan is predicting a strong take-up for the all-electric van from operators in big cities as well as taxi fleet operators.
Prices for the Nissan e-NV200 start at £13,343.
