It made its debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show in April to lots of praise and now the new Peugeot Partner is on sale.
There’s a high level of practicality and enough space for two Euro pallets to be carried on the impressive new van as well as it having a higher spec which includes touchscreen and satnav.
The UK is a big market for the Peugeot Partner, around 10% of the 2.4 million produced have been sold here, and this fourth generation should do just as well.
Indeed, sales here were up by 50% in 2014 to make it a real force in this segment.
New engines for the Peugeot Partner
Other new features include Euro 6 compliant engines which are around 15% more fuel-efficient than the ones they replace; opt for the 1.6 litre BlueHDi unit and it will have CO2 emissions of 108g/km.
There’s also a new front design and extra features which include cruise control and speed limiter on the SE as standard while other models get reversing camera and front parking sensors.
The best equipped are the Professional-badged Peugeot Partners which come with satnav as standard, a first for the sector.
Another first for the Peugeot Partner range is the addition of active city brake which will scan the road ahead for the risk of collision and then apply the brakes if the driver doesn’t do so first.
This addition should see insurance premiums falls as a result.
Prices for the new Peugeot Partner
Prices start at £13,215 ex VAT for the Peugeot Partner in panel van guise, while the crew van costs £15,285 ex VAT.
To help meet growing demand, Peugeot have also added an electric version – the Panel EV – which has a range of up to 106 miles before being recharged and has a 60,000 mile, or eight years, battery warranty. The Peugeot Partner EV costs £21,300 ex VAT.
