The covers have come off the new Mercedes Vito with the stylish new product being produced as a panel van, family tourer and a crew van.
And, for the first time, the Mercedes Vito will be available in the rear and front wheel drive formats.
Under the bonnet, there’s a choice of two turbo diesel engines with five power outputs.
Mercedes Vito has power and economy
Mercedes also says that its new Vito will be cheap to run and has been configured for maximum efficiency.
The van will be available with a gross vehicle weights between 2.8 and 3.2 tonnes.
Mercedes obviously have high hopes for its new Vito range and say it will answer the needs for a wide range of potential buyers such as taxi drivers, craftsmen, service providers and shuttle services.
Indeed, the Mercedes Vito will have the highest payload in its class at 1,369kg.
New style design and space for the Mercedes Vito
In addition to the exterior restyling, the Vito has more space in the cabin which has been completely re-designed.
Made with high quality materials, everything is within reach and the cockpit itself is ergonomically designed.
In the rear wheel drive version of the Mercedes Vito 116 CDI BlueEfficiency, owners can expect fuel economy of 50mpg – among the very best economy figures in this vehicle category.
But that’s not all, the Vito will be cheap to maintain with long service intervals established at 25,000 miles or every two years.
The new Mercedes Vito is undoubtedly an impressive vehicle though the firm is to still announce the full spec and UK pricing.
