The Nissan e-NV200 has been around for a while now, it started life in 2013, and a revamp has made it more attractive. For vans in this segment, there’s not a wide range of alternatives but the e-NV200 offers just enough to be attractive with smart looks, lots of technology and decent range.
The Nissan e-NV200 is the market leader for those wanting an all-electric van and their latest offering is very good indeed. It’s larger than its predecessor and has more range – but the competition is getting stiffer and the new e-NV200 might be found lacking (particularly when the Volkswagen e-Crafter is unveiled). Despite this there’s still a lot to like and it is a great van for delivering around town. Out on the open road, the e-NV200 isn’t as refined or as comfortable to drive when in towns and cities.
It’s the replacement for the aging Primastar but the Nissan NV300 is competing in a keenly fought segment. Worst of all, most of its better rivals are essentially the mechanically same van such as the Renault Trafic, the Fiat Talento and the Vauxhall Vivaro. While the exterior styling makes it look a tad different and there’s some extra kit, the biggest attraction is a five years or 100,000 mile warranty to attract buyers. It’s much better than the Primastar and Nissan has effectively plugged a gap in its commercial van line-up so potential buyers should keep watching for promotions which help shift sales.
The Nissan e-NV200 will, the firm boldly claims, change the LCV market forever. There’s no doubt that the van is impressive and will meet a lot of criteria for firms wanting the kudos of being environmentally-friendly but the van’s range will worry many.
The Nissan Navara is one of the best double-cab pickups available on the market and for good reason. The Navara and so strong performance and has a decent level of kit on board.
The Nissan NV200 is the firm’s bid to set new standards for the small van market and this it manages to do for many criteria – but not all. It’s a great van to drive and has excellent abilities.
The Nissan Primastar has been around for a long time now and though it’s showing signs of its age, the van still handles well and has still one of the best load spaces in its class.
The Nissan NV400 has been recently overhauled and now comes with more standard equipment and a new economical engine.
