Just days after Volkswagen vans announced record sales for its VW Amarok in the UK, they soared by 20% last year, comes news of a new special edition.
This new version of the VW Amarok will be limited to a 500 vehicle run and will have higher specifications than on the standard version.
Prices for the new special edition start at £29,555, ex VAT, and is aimed at customers who appreciate the quality is a luxurious pick-up can deliver.
VW Amarok Ultimate will impress
It’s called the VW Amarok Ultimate and showcases what the firm does very well and throws in a range of premium features to create a unique package.
The new edition has bi-xenon headlamps, 19 inch alloy wheels and a radiator grille with double chrome strips.
For the first time on the VW Amarok there are now LED daytime running lights which help to give the vehicle a striking light signature when driving at night since the running lights frame the headlights nicely.
Buyers of this limited edition can also enjoy door mirrors that are electrically heated and adjustable, as well as foldable, darkened tail lights and new LEDs to illuminate the rear number plate.
A touch of luxury in the VW Amarok
However, it’s on the inside that buyers will notice the real difference for the VW Amarok since it helps deliver what can only be described as a first-class travelling experience.
Fitted as standard are Alcantara trim seats, heated front seats, alloy pedal covers and a leather multifunction steering wheel.
There’s also a reversing packing camera, Bluetooth connectivity and rear privacy glass.
Under the bonnet there’s the range topping 2.0 litre BiTDO unit with 180PS which will deliver up to 420Nm of torque and there’s a maximum 3,200 kg towing capacity.
Available in two colours, either deep black or reflex silver, buyers can also opt for a six speed manual gearbox or the firm’s eight speed 4Motion.
