The first batch of the 283-strong order for Fiat Doblo Cargo has been delivered to Network Rail for technicians to inspect 20,000 miles of track and National Rail assets around the UK.
The order consists of SWB Crew and Cargo vans and have all been fitted with Fiat’s excellent 1.3 MultiJet II 90hp engines and will be deployed around the country.
Before being used by the firm’s technicians, the vans are being delivered without any factory modifications but a firm in Staffordshire is applying graphics and any other racking or storage needed in the van’s load area.
