The Volkswagen Transporter is 60 years old this year and the German firm has unveiled an eye-catching special edition.
Called the VW Transporter Sportline 60, the van is packed with kit and comes with a rear parking camera and 18 inch alloy wheels.
Available in a panel van variant, either in short- or long wheel base, as well as a Kombi version.
New VW Transporter Sportline 60 impresses
This new model replaces the current Sportline edition and is distinguished from its siblings thanks to the impressive exterior features which include black gloss door mirror covers, special decals and black steel side bars.
VW says the Sportline 60 is one of the most stylish T5 Transporters it has ever offered for sale.
Standard kit includes Bluetooth connectivity, front and rear parking sensors, embossed leather upholstery and an impressive Kenwood satnav infotainment system – which will mirror a smartphone when it is plugged in.
This special edition also includes electric windows and heated mirrors, climate air con, ABS and remote central locking.
Sportline 60 stands out from the crowd
When out on the road, the VW Sportline 60 will also be distinguished from other vehicles thanks to its lower spoiler and chrome grille, roof spoiler as well as colour-coded bumpers and distinctive badges.
Underneath the bonnet, is VW’s impressive 2.0 litre BiTDi which produces 180PS and has an impressive torque of up to 400Nm.
There’s also the choice of a six speed manual gearbox or the firm’s seven speed DSG automatic transmission.
VW Transporter has been a 60 year success story
Since appearing on the UK’s roads in 1954, the VW Transporter range has underpinned the firm’s commercial vehicle success for 60 years and helped millions of business owners deliver goods.
Since its launch, VW have sold 300,000 transporters in the UK – and 18,350 last year alone which shows it is still a fantastic product to be enjoyed by van drivers around the country.
Available to order now, the VW Transporter Sportline 60 costs from £29,940 (ex VAT).
