Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has broadened its acclaimed all-electric ID. Buzz Cargo lineup by introducing an accessible 59kWh battery model, tailored for British businesses seeking sustainable transport solutions.
Priced from £35,960 on the road, this latest variant is now available for ordering, with deliveries set to commence in late spring 2025.
The new ID. Buzz Cargo Commerce 59kWh boasts a compact lithium-ion battery, delivering a WLTP range of up to 200 miles.
Despite its smaller power pack, the van retains the same spacious 3.9 cubic metre load area and robust payload capacity as its siblings, capable of carrying 692kg and towing 1,000kg.
Rapid charging at 165kW allows the battery to juice up from 5% to 80% in just 30 minutes, ensuring minimal downtime for busy professionals.
ID. Buzz Cargo in Commerce trim
It’s only available in the feature-rich Commerce trim and this electric van offers UK drivers LED headlights, a heated driver’s seat, three front seats and front and rear parking sensors.
Inside, a 12.9-inch touchscreen powers the Ready 2 Discover infotainment system, complete with wireless App-Connect for seamless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
Multiple USB-C ports enhance connectivity, while a 170PS rear motor ensures strong performance.
Adding value, Volkswagen has partnered with OVO to offer a ‘Charge Anytime’ deal, slashing home charging costs to 7p per kWh around the clock.
New customers switching to OVO can also claim up to 30,000 free miles, structured as 10,000 miles upon joining and an additional 10,000 miles on each of their next two contract anniversaries.
