It’s a popular choice for small businesses around the UK and now the upgraded Renault Kangoo van offers buyers more for their money.
The stylish and versatile LCV has new trim levels and new levels of standard equipment.
Renault say there’s been a substantial improvement in the standard spec for the Kangoo with every trim now having DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity.
Standard equipment includes roof bar fittings, load area lighting, electronic stability control, electric front windows, electric variable power steering, anti-lock brakes, deadlocks and a driver’s airbag.
There’s also a height adjustable driver’s seat, electronic brake force distribution, a 12V power socket and the option of driving in ECO mode to help save fuel. Renault have also added its anti-intruder device as well as remote central locking.
There’s also a new steel bulkhead to help boost safety between the passenger and the cargo compartment.
Renault Kangoo Z.E. comes with new kit
The firm’s electric van, the Renault Kangoo Z.E. also comes with new kit including a recharging socket, a wall mounted charging cable, on-board computer, a voice cabin preheating and precooling device as well as low rolling resistance tyres to boost fuel economy.
Buyers who opt for the firm’s Maxi Crew Van or Cab also have the choice of side sliding doors to either the right or left side, an interior side panel and an extra row of three folding passenger seats.
Other additions for some models include one touch electric windows, electrically operated door mirrors that fold, a centre console with armrest, overhead parcel shelf, manual air con and rubber flooring to the load area.
Renault have also boosted the options list for its Kangoo and they include items such as cruise control, extra airbags, automatic wipers and headlights and extra load anchorage points.
There’s also the option of having an increased payload to 800 kg and a swivelling bulkhead with folding passenger seat. Buyers can also opt for the firm’s multimedia and satnav system.
Revamped Renault Kangoo has 32 variants
All of these changes mean that the revamped Renault Kangoo now has 32 variants though there are just two body styles and the same efficient diesel engines.
Prices for the Kangoo dCi 75 Business start at £13,200 plus VAT and all versions come with the firm’s four-year vehicle warranty which consists of two years’ of unlimited mileage and then a limit of 100,000 miles.
There’s also four years of roadside assistance and buyers of the Renault Kangoo Z.E. have a five-year powertrain warranty and the chance to hire or buy the batteries.
All-in-all that’s an impressive offering from the vanmaker to help keep the Renault Kangoo as a popular choice for the UK’s van market.
